Communication Disorder, when should I be concerned?

Communication and language disorders vary and have distinctive characteristics that educators, family and the community need to be familiar with to help determine if a child needs additional support and services. The first diagram gives us the RED FLAGS to be on the look out for when we observe a child's speech and language development that may deviate so far from the development of a child's same-aged peers. If there is a concern then we can refer to the next diagram that characterized the different communication disorders which may impact  a child's over-all development and educational performance.  Remember: early intervention starts with you, read on!
